Scan a whole stack: pick many photos at once

· Using ToPDF

For a thick document, the fastest workflow is to separate photographing from scanning: shoot every page in one go with your camera app, then hand the whole batch to ToPDF at once.

Batch scanning, step by step

  1. Photograph every page first — same spot, same light, one page per photo.
  2. Open ToPDF and tap “Tap to choose photos”.
  3. In the picker, select all the page photos (tap each one, or use your gallery's multi-select).
  4. Sit back: pages are detected, cropped, cleaned and appended one after another. A progress card shows each page being processed.

What happens if one photo is tricky?

The batch doesn't fail — it pauses. If a page's edges can't be detected confidently, the crop editor opens for that one photo; confirm or fix the corners with the magnifier, tap Apply, and the batch continues where it left off. An unreadable file (say a corrupted download) is skipped with a note at the end, never silently.

Order and cleanup afterwards

Pages arrive in the order you selected them. If your gallery handed them over shuffled, drag the thumbnails into place. Remove accidental duplicates with the × (there's an Undo if you slip).

Desktop tip: you can also drop a whole selection of image files anywhere onto the page — or paste a screenshot — and they queue up the same way.

Frequently asked questions

How many photos can I select at once?

Up to the 20-page document limit. Selecting more simply fills the document to 20 and tells you the rest were left off.

Do all photos need the same orientation?

No. Each page is auto-oriented individually after cropping, so a mix of portrait and landscape shots is fine.

Can I add more pages after a batch?

Yes — Add page accepts another batch or single photos, up to the page limit.
