Removed the wrong page? Undo brings it back

· Using ToPDF

The × on a thumbnail is convenient — which also makes it mis-tappable. Rather than a nagging “are you sure?” on every removal, ToPDF removes immediately and offers a short window to change your mind.

How Undo works

  1. Tap × on a page thumbnail — the page disappears and a toast slides up: “Page 3 removed — Undo”.
  2. Tap Undo within a few seconds. The page returns to its exact position, keeping its crop, rotation and place in the order.
  3. Ignore the toast and it fades; the removal stands.

What Undo protects (and what it doesn’t)

Undo covers page removal — the destructive mis-tap. Rotation isn't destructive (tap Rotate three more times to get back), re-cropping isn't destructive (the original photo is kept), and reordering is trivially reversible by dragging back. The one action that discards a whole document — New scan — asks for confirmation instead when multiple pages would be lost.

Note: once you leave or start a new scan, removed pages are gone for good — ToPDF deliberately keeps nothing in the background.

Frequently asked questions

How long do I have to undo?

About six seconds — enough to react to a slip without leaving a lingering “deleted items” state on a privacy-focused tool.

Can I undo two removals?

The toast covers the most recent removal. If you removed two pages by mistake, undo the last one, then re-add the other from its photo.
