Scan a signed contract to PDF (multi-page, every signature clear)
· Document guides
The signed paper contract is often the only full record of an agreement — the version with initials on every page and the actual signatures. Scan it the day it's signed, while all pages are still together and in order.
Method for many pages
- Photograph every page in order, one page per shot, same setting. Include annexes and the signature page — especially the signature page.
- Select all photos at once in ToPDF; they become one ordered document. Confirm the count matches the paper (“Page 12 of 12”).
- Zoom the signature page thumbnail: names, signatures, date all legible?
- Name it for retrieval by either party: “ServiceAgreement-AcmeCo-Signed-2026-07-02.pdf”.
Signatures, initials, stamps
Blue ink on white scans beautifully; light pencil initials do not. If initials are faint, angle the light slightly sideways and re-scan just that page (× the bad page, Add page with the retake). Company stamps in red or blue should stay in colour — don't flatten a stamped contract to black and white.
Copies for both sides
Share the identical PDF with the other party immediately — a shared canonical copy prevents “my version says” disputes. Because ToPDF runs on-device, neither party's agreement passed through a scanning server on the way.
Frequently asked questions
The contract is longer than 20 pages. What now?
Split at a natural boundary — “Contract-Part1.pdf”, “Contract-Part2.pdf” — or scan annexes separately. Most e-mail systems prefer the smaller files anyway.
Can I add a page that was signed later?
Yes — scan the new page and drag it to its place in the strip, then download a fresh complete PDF. Name it as a new version to avoid confusion.
